Companies We Love & Admire
Organic Lawn saved my lawn. I didn’t want to use conventional fertilizers like Weed n Feed and sought a more holistic option. I love the compost extract and biological stimulants Organic Lawn uses to diversify and balance my soil microorganisms and, in turn, feed my grass. They taught me that my grass was struggling because, like many newer subdivision lawns, the contractors laid the new sod on top of the construction hard pan with too little topsoil. To remedy this, Organic Lawn designed its service to feed the soil microorganisms so that they can build new soil over time. Organic Lawn also instructed me to avoid the “normal” water and mowing habits. My neighbors and I are now on board with cutting our grass longer (4”) and watering deeply and infrequently in the early morning only. We don’t edge real short with the weed whacker either, which ends up killing the grass and giving a place for weeds to grow. We now have some of the most lush grass in our subdivision, thanks to Organic Lawn. And we aren’t exposed to unwanted toxins when we lay in it. I highly recommend giving them a try!
What Organic Lawn does for grass, Regenerative Land Solutions does for farmers and ranchers. This father-and-son team has decades of holistic land and ranch experience, and they focus on creating nutrient-dense food while keeping water sources clean and improving producers’ bottom line. Check out their website for amazing hayfields, row crops, and rangeland soil case studies.
Western Pines is our go-to source for high-quality topsoil, compost, mulch, and soil pep. Joy and her husband Troy own the place. Joy is a former landscape pro, and Troy is a soil scientist and rancher. Sometimes you will find their sons in the yard too. All are super knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. Just tell them about your project to get their recommendations. Their garden mix (screened topsoil, compost, and soil pep) is one of our favorites.
